all right, so the old header logo image is back up. i went through and did the whole color-scheme in reference to it--mostly red and black, of course, with pink from the background swirls, and a touch of yellow from her hair. i really don't know what i'm doing where things like "color schemes" are concerned, so i'm open to suggestions, if anyone can re... Eh, screw it

thanks (sincerely!) for everyone's feedback, and to orlandofurioso for the screenshot above. that obviously doesn't work for me, and i don't know how to fix it. so the background's gone and the sidebar stuff is back in the sidebar. at the moment it all looks pretty bland, but i'll play around with it some more and figure out a way to spiff it up. tha... okay, so apparently the sidebar is a more popular/useful part of this blog than i realized. what i've done is move all that to the bottom of the blog. when you get there, a black background overtakes the picture. the text is much more clearly legible, and now i don't have text over the picture. it might not be quite as convenient as before, when new ... sidebar matters (DO sidebars matter?)

so the consensus complaint about the new look is that it makes the sidebar and tag-cloud (which i've moved to the bottom) hard to read. i guess my question, then, is how important are these things to you? i use my sidebar to keep an eye on other blogs, but most of you use your own feeds for that, right? i do sometimes use the tags for quick navigation... Edwige Fenech movie trailers

back when sean collins introduced me to the groovy faux-vintage video for the scissor sisters song "invisible light," i put up a few actual vintage trailers of groovy euro-horror movies to show how perfectly it nailed the look and tone of all that stuff. i went with lizard in a woman's skin and nude for satan, but now that sean's posting pics of edwige ...
