10.04 Not for beginners or non-geeks

i installed 10.04 with livecd, partitioned my hd, kept xp on other partition...3 times now. every time, things work great until i close it down or log off, or go to xp. then i either get a purple ubuntu screen with nothing or i can't even boot anything ("no partition found"). so i look on all the forums, google, etc. and get these ridiculous text 'fixes'... Howto: Download latest amsn svn already compiled

HiI have set up a script who compiles latest svn every x days, then uploads it to my webserver.You can download the .deb package at http://nix.flapane.com in Ubuntu folder.When I compile the package, it automatically gets uploaded.I'm using hardy i386, but it should work on newer versions too...
